DECISION
1. The Committee, after having considered the application and relevant documentation, is satisfied that
a. the application complies with the requirements of the Act, Act 34 of 1995;
b. the act, omission or offence to which the application relates are acts associated with a political objective committed in the course of the conflicts of the past;
c. that the relevant facts relating to the particular offence have been disclosed.
2. Amnesty is therefore
GRANTED: in respect of the following offence
(a) Conspiracy to damage the Seychelles Restaurant, the offices of the ANC and the NP in Port Shepstone during February 1994.
(b) Contravening Section 6 of Act 26 of 1956 in being in illegal possession of explosives during February 1994 at Port Shepstone.
(c) Contravening Section 54 (3) of Act 74 of 1982 by preparing explosive devices and being in illegal possession thereof during February 1994 at Port Shepstone.
