: The applicant was, during March 1984, convicted on a charge of being a member of a banned organisation, namely, the African National Congress. He was sentenced to undergo imprisonment for three years. He now applies for amnesty in respect of such conviction.
We are satisfied that the application satisfies the requirements of the Promotion of National Unity and Reconciliation Act, No. 34 of 1995 and the applicant is accordingly
GRANTED: amnesty in respect of the offence which gave rise to him being convicted and sentenced at Pietersburg on 22 March 1994, namely, being of member of a banned organisation.
