Police brutalityExplanation A Phoyco member who was shot and injured during the state of emergency in Parys, Orange Free State (OFS), on 20 June 1986. A few days later he was assaulted by members of the SAP in Harrismith, OFS, and was detained with other Phoyco members and tortured in Bethlehem, OFS. See police brutality.
