Sharpeville Six

Was shot dead by IFP supporters in his home in Sharpeville, Vereeniging, Transvaal, on 19 April 1992. The perpetrators raped two women before killing seven people. Mr Lefheidi’s home was targeted because his son was an MK operative.

He died when he was ‘necklaced’ by ‘comrades’ on 17 December 1993 at Sharpeville, Vereeniging, Transvaal , because the perpetrators believed he was an informer.
