Ndethini Thyido and Zwelitsha Mkuhlwa were members of a self defence unit in Khayelitsha in Cape Town when they were found guilty of the attempted murder of Bongani Mpisane, co member of the same self defence unit, in 1992. They accused him of stealing money and being an informer.
