Eight people died in political conflict in the area that day. | References | MFENGU, Titimani Frank | 33 | Was arrested and in 1962 was sentenced to seven years` imprisonment in Cape Town for his involvement in PAC activities. He served his sentence at various prisons, including Robben Island. Thirty people were killed and 200 people injured in the event which became known as the Bisho massacre.
