An MK operative, and one other, were shot dead by a joint Vlakplaas and Eastern Transvaal Security Branch team in Manzini, Swaziland, on 22 November 1983. One member from Security Branch Headquarters, responsible for authorising the attack, and four Eastern Transvaal and three Vlakplaas operatives were granted amnesty (AC/2000/086 and AC/1999/031).
