MAPHUMULO, Linda Michael 30An ANC supporter who was shot dead by an Inkatha supporter in Umlazi, Durban, on 21 March 1990. More than nine people died in political conflict in the area on this day, following the killing of two people by the police. References
MAPHUMULO, LisoWas injured when a limpet mine exploded on a municipal bus in Gardiner Street, Durban, on 30 November 1993. The explosive was being conveyed by APLA operatives to an intended target. MAPHUMULO, Mhlabunzima Joseph 42Was shot dead at his home in central Pietermaritzburg on 25 February 1991. One of the alleged perpetrators is named. Chief Maphumulo of Maqongqo was the president of CONTRALESA, an organisation of traditional leaders, which was aligned with the UDF and ANC. He was also instrumental in the local peace process.
