Description
An MK member who was reported to the Commission as missing by his family. The Commission established that Mr Mangena had gone into exile to join the ANC and had been executed on the order of an ANC military tribunal in 1982 in Angola. A number of ANC members were detained, tortured and killed during a period of anxiety about infiltration by South African agents following the SADF bombing of Nova Catengue camp in 1979.
