A SAYCO member who was accused of throwing petrol bombs, beaten by Amagundwana Municipal Police members and detained for six months in Port Alfred, Cape, in June 1986 during the state of emergency. On 12 November 1986 he was sentenced to three years in prison (two suspended) for being in possession of explosives material.
