Was tortured, mutilated and burnt by named ANC supporters and members of the community in Nkomazi-West district, Komatipoort, Transvaal, on 6 June 1986 because he was accused of killing a chief. Despite Mr Mkhatswa`s alleged confession, his two brothers were killed with him in the same manner in full view of the community because they were suspected of opposing the new chief. Five perpetrators were charged, convicted of murder and sentenced.
