Description
An IFP supporter who was injured and lost his belongings when his room in a hostel was set alight by ANC supporters in KwaThema, Transvaal, on 19 September 1990. The IFP began a recruitment drive in East Rand townships, allegedly forcibly removing all non-IFP members from hostels which resulted in conflict between hostel-dwellers and ANC-supporting residents.
