Was killed when members of the Northern Transvaal Security Branch petrol-bombed her home in Oukasie, Brits, Tvl, on 28 May 1986. Her husband, a trade unionist and member of the Brits Action Committee, was the intended target of the attack. Six Northern Transvaal Security Branch operatives, including the divisional commander, were granted amnesty (AC/2001/240).
