Was severely beaten and tortured by named members of the SAP at the Kwaggafontein police station in Moutse, KwaNdebele, in 1988 because he assisted `comrades` with transport. The South African government cancelled KwaNdebele independence in August 1986 because of resistance to incorporation into KwaNdebele.
