The perpetrators were allegedly linked to the Western Cape United Squatters Association, who had been threatening local ANC members. He was detained for six months in isolation in an East London prison and later transferred to St Albans, Port Elizabeth, in June 1988. Mr Ngevayo was accused of inciting youths to burn down government properties in retaliation for the shooting of people at Bisho. | References | NGEVAYO, Simphiwe Desmond | 25 | An ANC supporter who was shot and injured by members of the Riot Police in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on 4 November 1990.
