Was burnt to death in an arson attack on her home during ongoing conflict between ANC and IFP supporters at Ndaleni, Richmond, Natal, on 16 January 1993. Her husband and son, both ANC supporters, and her granddaughter were also burnt to death, while her daughter managed to escape with a stab wound.
