Was abducted by IFP supporters during ongoing political conflict at Nyandezulu, near Port Shepstone, Natal, on 5 January 1992. The perpetrators allegedly forced him and two friends to accompany them in an attack on suspected ANC supporters. He subsequently fled the area.
