Was arrested by named KwaNdebele policemen in Siyabuswa, KwaNdebele, on 6 February 1987, and questioned about a gun found in his room. He was tortured at the police station, after which he disappeared. Police claimed that Mr Shabangu had escaped while pointing out an arms cache.
