Was shot dead travelling in a taxi in Ncala Section in Katlehong, Tvl, on 27 February 1992 during conflict between mainly ANC-supporting residents and IFP-supporting hostel-dwellers. Attacks on taxis became an ongoing characteristic of conflict on the East Rand since 1991.
