Description
Was injured when two MK operatives detonated a bomb in a shopping centre at Amanzimtoti, near Durban, on 23 December 1985, in retaliation for a South African security forces attack two weeks earlier on ANC members in Lesotho, in which nine people had been killed. The explosion in Amanzimtoti killed five people and injured 61. One of the operatives was sentenced to death and later hanged.
