A brigadier in the Bophuthatswana Defence Force (BDF) who was held at gunpoint by BDF members during an attempted coup d’etat in Bophuthatswana on 10 February 1988. The coup was brought to an end when the SADF came to the assistance of the Bophuthatswana government. Two BDF members were granted amnesty for their role in the attempted coup (AC/2000/044).
