A UDF activist and member of the local civic association in Atlantis, Cape, who was detained twice for several weeks in 1985. He was again detained in June 1986 under emergency regulations and held for seventeen months. During his detention he was interrogated, held in solitary confinement for long periods and deprived of food. Restriction orders were placed upon him after his release. See police brutality.
