Ndwedwe election attack
Explanation On 12 April 1994, five IFP supporters attacked nine employees of a private company who were delivering IEC election pamphlets in Ndwedwe, KwaZulu, near Durban. The nine employees were accused of being ANC supporters and were severely tortured. Eight were killed; the survivor was badly injured and took three days to crawl back to safety. One IFP member was convicted for the attack.
