I think if I look back at it now, I would see it as being naïve to think that one could really change the country and the future of people in South Africa. // I was terribly afraid of the unknown of what would happen in South Africa. At that stage I feared an ANC takeover and now I know it was just propaganda, it was a myth. So, I’ve been relieved of that fear. // That same fear is evident in a poem by Jurgen Grobbelaar to his mother. //
