Boy Diale and Christopher Makgale are from the Bafokeng tribe. In 1990 they kidnapped Glad Mokgatle, a man they saw as a puppet of Lucas Mangope’s Bophuthatswana government. They demanded the keys to the Bafokeng civic centre and when he refused they killed him.
The chairman of the Bafokeng Tribal Council who was severely assaulted and stabbed to death by members of the ANC-supporting Action Committee of the Bafokeng people, in Bafokeng, Bophuthatswana, on 29 September 1990. Two Action Committee members were granted amnesty for the killing (AC/1996/0001).
