In February 1991 this Eastern Cape youth had attempted to murder Mrs. Nomsa Hanabe because she refused to resign from the black local authority in Klipplaat. Mrs. Hanabe was badly injured and is now disabled. The Amnesty Committee found that Johnson’s attack on her was totally out of proportion to his political objective.
