Was repeatedly assaulted with sjamboks and thrown against the wall by named members of the SAP during a week’s detention at Bedford police station, Cape, in March 1985. She was detained in Grahamstown for six months in June 1986 during the state of emergency and consumer boycotts in the area. See police brutality.
