An Inkatha supporter who had her home in Cottonlands, Verulam, Natal, petrol-bombed on 12 January 1990 when UDF supporters attacked mourners at a night vigil for the slain son of a local Inkatha chairman. Thirteen people, including nine children, were killed. Ms Bhengu suffered another incident of arson on 7 December 1991, this time in Emangwaneni, Bulwer, Natal, during an IFP attack in which she was mistakenly taken to be an ANC supporter.
