Was shot and injured by IFP supporters during 1993 in Bhambayi, near KwaMashu, Durban, at a time of competititon for resources and political dominance between the ‘Red’ and ‘Green’ factions. More than three hundred people died violently in Bhambayi in 1993. Hundreds of homes were burnt down.
