Was detained by members of the Security Branch in Johannesburg, in 1975 and charged under the Terrorism Act. Mr Bloem was active in the BCM and assisted in the formation of the ‘Brotherhood ’, an organisation opposed to the state sponsored Coloured Representative Council.
