A COSATU member who was shot dead by members of the KwaZulu Police (KZP) in Mandini, Natal, on 9 April 1990 during a factory stayaway at Isithebe organised by COSATU. The same day, KZP members assisted by Special Constables attacked Isithebe, killing at least ten people.
