Was killed in her home at Addo, Cape, on 17 June 1985 by members of the UDF-supporting Addo Youth Congress, in an attack on the local white farming community. The perpetrators broke the windows of the house, destroyed everything inside and set the De Jager’s car alight. Ms De Jager’s husband was also killed in the attack. Two applications for amnesty were received. One was withdrawn and the other granted (AC/1999/0264).
