Was injured when AWB members detonated a car bomb in a parking garage at Jan Smuts airport, Johannesburg, on 27 April 1994, in an attempt to derail the electoral process. Polling in the elections had begun that day. Ten people were severely injured in the blast. Two AWB members were granted amnesty (AC/1999/0342). See right-wing attacks.
