Description
A People’s Congress supporter who was severely beaten by supporters of Chief BK Matlala in GaMatlala, Lebowa, on 18 August 1978 because Mr Dibete resisted Lebowa’s proposed independence from South Africa. The village was cordoned off and Chief Matlala and his supporters attacked People’s Congress members, burnt their houses and stole their livestock.
