An ANC supporter who was detained in 1960 in Bizana, Transkei, and later sentenced to three years’ imprisonment in East London during which he was tortured and forced to do hard labour. He had been part of the Pondoland revolt. Mr Khatshwa died a week after his release. See Pondoland revolt.
