Was one of thirteen people burnt to death in a petrol bomb attack by UDF supporters in Mahlabatini, near Ulundi, KwaZulu/Natal, during a funeral vigil on 12 January 1990. One ANC supporter applied for amnesty, which was refused (AC/1999/0353). See Xulu vigil attack.
