An MK operative who was one of four people killed in two ambushes by Eastern Transvaal Security Branch and Vlakplaas operatives on 14 August 1986. One ambush was near Nerston, Transvaal, the other on the Swazi side of the border. Eleven Eastern Transvaal Security Branch and Vlakplaas operatives, including the commanders of Ermelo Security Branch and of Vlakplaas, were granted amnesty of the killing of Mr Kone (AC/2001/148).
