A corporal in the SADF who was killed in a landmine explosion at Diepgezet, Barberton, Transvaal, on 2 November 1986. Corporal le Roux was on horseback when he detonated a landmine, planted by MK operatives as part of ‘Operation Ceshwayo’, the MK landmine campaign in the Eastern Transvaal. Three MK operatives were granted amnesty (AC/2000/111). See ANC landmine campaign.
