MADUNA, Doctor John | | Was abducted, along with a friend, from his home at the Motsoaledi informal settlement by members of an ANC self-defence unit (SDU) and ANC supporters, on 29 March 1994. They were taken to a nearby school in Orlando East, Soweto, Johannesburg, where he was shot dead and his friend shot and injured. They were suspected of participating in an IFP march that day.
