Mr Mpalala then committed suicide on 10 June 1986, allegedly as a result of his injuries. | References | MPALWENI, Wellington Mzwakhe | 18 | An ANC supporter who was arrested and beaten by members of the SAP at John Vorster Square, Johannesburg, in July 1977 in the wake of the Soweto uprising.
