Was left partially paralysed after being stabbed and stoned by Inkatha supporters on 20 March 1990 at Enseleni, KwaZulu, near Empangeni, Natal. Mr Mabaso had confronted the perpetrators because they had reportedly assaulted his brother for wearing an ANC T-shirt the previous day.
