Was shot dead while taking part in a protest march in Kagiso, Transvaal, on 22 December 1985, allegedly by a town councillor attempting to disperse the marchers. Kagiso residents were involved in a rent boycott which led to violent clashes between residents and members of the local authority and the SAP.
