Was injured when the car he was travelling in exploded near Sabie, Transvaal, on June 21 1976. Mr Magoro and three friends were leaving the country in the aftermath of the Soweto uprising and unintentionally stumbled onto an alleged SADF base. Mr Magoro was shot in the right knee and beaten by soldiers. He was then taken to GaRankuwa hospital.
