An ANC supporter who was severely assaulted by IFP supporters at Ndwedwe, KwaZulu, near Durban, in late 1990, allegedly because he was in possession of Mandela T-shirts and firearms. Earlier, in September 1990, his wife had been shot dead by IFP supporters in the course of political conflict in the area.
