A UDF activist and ANC supporter who was arrested and severely tortured by policemen in Mmabatho, Bophuthatswana, in 1985, after which he was detained for three months. He was again detained and tortured by a named member of the Bophuthatswana Police in 1989, after which he fled South Africa, causing him to lose his house and his job.
