Was burnt to death on 2 September 1990, when IFP supporters attacked her neighbours` home in KwaDweshula, Port Shepstone, Natal, in intensifying political conflict in the area. She was visiting her neighbours with her sister when the house was set alight, burning Ms Mhlongo, her sister and and Ms Mhlongo`s two children. A total of seven people were killed in the attack.
