Was one of a group of youths detained under emergency regulations at the Stilfontein police station, 42nd Hill, Harrismith, OFS, on 17 June 1986. The youths were singing freedom songs in the street soon after the reimposition of the state of emergency. Mr Mopeloa was severely tortured in detention. See police brutality.
