Was severely beaten by a group of delivery men in Naledi, Soweto, Johannesburg, in May 1993. Mr Ndesi died two days later as a result of his injuries. Mr Ndesi had been taking part in a protest march when he was chased by police. He fled to a nearby shop and was attacked by the delivery men outside the shop.
