Was killed when he was shot dead in the back of his head by members of the SAP at Phuma-Ma-Sebethane football grounds in Sharpeville, Vereeniging, Tvl, on 10 July 1992 during conflict between IFP and ANC supporters. SAP members were patrolling the area, but added to the conflict by randomly shooting and arresting youth.
