Description An ANC member from Durban who was detained under the 90-day detention clause and held in solitary confinement by the Security Branch in September 1964. He was then sentenced to 12 months’ hard labour for refusing to give evidence in the trial of a fellow ANC member. After his release in 1965, he left South Africa and lived in exile for 25 years before returning to South Africa.
